About Central
The Summer of 2006 saw the implementation of Vision Legacy (Phase One) which was the complete renovation of our sanctuary and administrative offices. The Church body met at Blake High School during that period and on November 12th 2006 saw the re-opening and dedication of our new sanctuary. With Phase one complete, Phase two (which is the renovation of our Fellowship Hall) is scheduled to commence Spring of 2007.

Easter of 1998 saw the addition of Idlewild Baptist's second campus church, Idlewild-Central. Under the leadership of campus pastor, Jeffery Singletary, Idlewild-Central aims at ministering to the inner city of Tampa.
As of January 29th 2007, Idlewild Central ceased and Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church was born. Our name may have changed but the people and contagious worship remains the same.
